Some of the most important conversations I have had were never in boardrooms or campaign meetings. They happened on sidewalks after church, outside apartment gates, shops, salons, parking lots, over cups of tea, and while walking through Kileleshwa with residents simply telling me what life feels like every day. Leadership begins there. Listening before speaking.
Who I am
A neighbour before anything else
Before I became an entrepreneur. Before anyone spoke about politics. I was simply a young boy learning that leadership meant looking after the people around you. That lesson began in Eastlands.
Years later, life brought me to Kileleshwa, where I have now lived for more than twenty years. Along the way I built a career in technology, starting and growing businesses from nothing, which taught me that you fix things by understanding them first, not by shouting about them.
What I have is a track record of building, a habit of following through, and a genuine belief that a community works better when the people building it show up consistently, not just when it is convenient.
This is what I think service should look like: calm, accountable, and close to the ground.
